Does anyone have any updated experience with a Northstar canoe in the Stealth layup? I’m thinking about changing out my Bell Northwoods. I have a carbon with a gel coat right now and this could be about a 15-20 lbs less if I went with E-6 trim as well. It would certainly make the next couple of decades a whole lot easier.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Piragis was getting like 6 special Northstar Polarises this year that were basically blacklite Polarises with E6 carbon gunnels, carbon seats, carbon thwart, carbon yoke, and black kevlar interior.

Layup was probably the wrong term. It’s a trim level coupled with a carbon fiber type layup.
I’m just curious to see if the composite components hold up and the hull is solid. Repairs and maintenance seem to be the same as a regular hull. I’m just wondering if there is anyone out there with some experience with this.
Thanks!

Well, the only thing that's really new on those Polaris Stealths are the carbon seats, thwarts, and yokes. There's always a chance that Northstar didn't get them right, but since Swift has been doing these same pieces in their carbon tech package for quite awhile now with great success, I'd imagine that Northstar has also done them right and will have similar success with them holding-up well.

That's a beauty Banksiana, easily the sexiest, solo tripping boat on the market. But then I'm prejudiced. I just walked by mine in the garage. It's a bit more beat up than yours, but still looks like it wants to MOVE just hanging there.

So you know, this boat of yours gets spoken of throughout the state. Something like this:
"Have you seen Banks' boat?"
"ahh, yah!"
"Isn't that something?"
"Yah!!!"
"
I have to say that as cool as the boat looks its performance on the water was stunning. Steady, seaworthy, quick and stunningly quiet. Looks like a racer but performed the role of freighter with competence and grace.
