Hi everyone, going through my gear just now I realized that I am missing my helinox sunset chair and I know exactly where it is, or at least where I left it.

On Saturday, I was waiting for my tow at the Birch Lake pickup point from Moose Lake outfitters Williams and Hall. Blaine showed up and we quickly loaded up my gear, fitting the wind, and overlooked my chair. I’d really appreciate it if anyone finds it they would give me call.

Welcome back Snorty - hope you enjoyed that trip and it was all that you hoped for! How was the fishing? Have you checked with them to see if someone brought it back? You might also try checking with some of the other outfitters on Moose Lake, as most people going to /from Birch will take a tow and may have gotten picked up by one of them.

Yeah, could be Williams and Hall, LaTourell's etc that have tow services there. Any one of them could have had someone find it.

My trip went really well, weather was good for the most part, caught some great fish except I couldn’t get a lake trout to hit, and I did manage to get back to SAK like I had planned. The 5 portages took their toll on me but I pressed on after recovering. I think I actually got stronger as the week progressed. Absolutely loved the trip and was so proud to not have left anything behind but one fishing lure, that is until yesterday when I realized what I had done at the pick up point. Very disappointed in myself because my daughter gave it to me for Christmas last year and I really hate that I left it behind. Just an absolute super gift and was usually the first thing I reached for anywhere I went. Didn’t see any moose but I did see grouse, beaver, eagles, and Trumpeter Swans which was a nice surprise. Hope your trip home went well and you experienced no delays. I have contacted both outfitters and asked them to keep a heads up for the chair. I figure there’s a 50/50 chance I’ll get it back.
