Thinking of a last minute long weekend in October. Strongly leaning toward Pipestone Bay Area, but wondering how busy it might be. I know it’s hard to know for sure, just curious what those with experience in the area might have to say.

I was there just last week. There were a few people around but not enough to think of it as being busy. I encountered maybe 3 or 4 canoe parties coming out when I was going in and then only one party going in when I came out. I saw one powereboat go up the lake and then back down later in the evening, and a couple of other canoes. You should be fine there.

Thanks! I don't mind a few canoes, I'd just prefer as few motors as possible. I was hoping given how late in the season it is that would be the case. Sounds like it will be.
