Does anyone have experience with fold up minnow traps on canoe trips? Live bait was super productive on my trip late last month, but carrying in a minnow buckets sent super fun.
We have brought them on two trips with zero success at catching minnows. They take up zero space because you can put things inside and around them. I have caught Rusty Crayfish in them on Ensign. Just put some fish guts in and in the morning you will have many crayfish in it.
I have considered taking one with me. Then I started looking at cutting weight and it was the first thing I cut. Doesn't seem worth the space or weight at least for my upcoming trip in 242 days.
