Here is the quote from them: "On October 10, our office issued a tornado warning for a storm over Cook County, MN. Since then, we have received photos and videos of impressive tree damage around Clearwater Lake and along the Border Route Trail, as well as some reports of wind damage along Alder Lake. Recent satellite imagery also shows a track of tree damage through this area. We are working with the Superior National Forest Service to obtain additional information about the storm damage, and our office is investigating a possible tornado touchdown in this area. At this time we cannot confirm a tornado touchdown but we hope to have an answer soon. We will be sure to share additional information when it becomes available! Thank you so much to those who have shared reports of damage with us!"

seems pretty clear to me....wind of some sort. Tornado, microburst, etc

Side note....any insight as to the odd green color of the one lake to the SW that's not like the rest?

The odd green color looks like a lake with an algae bloom.
