Has anyone ever done this route in the winter? I’d like to, but am concerned with ice travel on the Granite River. Is there an alternate route? Or at least one that bypasses the area above and below Sag Falls (not the portage). I’ve done this area in the summer and I’d love to see it in the winter. Thank you

There are several spots along that route where I would not trust the ice in the winter. I would be interesting to hear from anyone that has done it.
