I have a trip planned for early June on the Gunflint. I’m coming up from Missouri and I’m meeting my friend, hopefully in Duluth.
Here’s the big question. Is there a park-and-ride place or a safe place that we could park her car when I meet her in Duluth? Trying to eliminate two cars up there.

There comes a time when the blind man says don't ya see..

there is always the airport, but that could get expensive. There is a park and Ride lot right off the freeway in Cloquet, but not sure if long term parking is allowed. It's run by the Duluth Transit Authority.

The Duluth Convention Center has multi-day parking available. It’s right off 35 near Canal Park. We’ve used this several times over the years.

I've done the Walmart thing for weekend trips and it hasn't been a problem.
Others have mentioned several pay options. If funds are a big issue, you need somewhere where there are always cars and yours won't get noticed. The right hospital parking lot would probably work.
Of course, knowing this board, you could always ask if anyone here who lives in Duluth has a spot you could park it. Offer a case of beverage or something for the trouble.

Duckman is on it. The later being the best if you can find someone. It's how friendships are born. Help a guy out. Sadly I do not live in Duluth or I'd give you a spot at my place.

I have taken the Landline bus to Minneapolis from Duluth. They have us park for free in the Mall parking lot between Culvers and the Ford dealership. I have parked there for a week at a time.
The last time was in Feb. !0 below at 2am, the doors were frozen shut, and then the battery was frozen because I left the dome light on. Had to wait until morning to buy a new battery.
