Looking for something small for my dad for Christmas. $40 or less.

Wondering if people could share ideas about what their top, non essential items would be.

Mini-paddle with dates of trips past.

A Photo album with pictures of those trips.

A blown up favorite picture from trip, framed.

A pair of Darn Tough socks.

A Map with a future route on it, for a trip you are taking together.

A calendar for next year, marked with a date each month to a state/local/ wherever park that you two (or more) will go to.

Anker 10,000 mAh power bank ~ $25
Titanium cup ~ $20-30
Titanium knife, fork, spoon ~ $10-15
MSR Pocket rocket stove is just above at ~ $45 plus $5 for a canister but there may be a 20% sale at REI in November.

I also second the Luci Light or any water filtration options.

CCS zippered stuff sack. I'm amazed how much I like having them in different sizes. Great on trips for organization. Great at home for organization.

Breakfast at Trail Center Lodge always seems a far greater value than the cost. If you choose the pancake however, it can no longer be called a "small" gift.

Another BWCA adjacent/ breakfast related option would be maple syrup from a local producer. Random Google turned up Sawtooth Mountain Syrup Company

So... I might have skipped a meal today. Wonder if I can get someone to make me a giant pancake?
