Happy Thanksgiving to all... and to all, a healthy meal with family and friends, a sip or six of wine, a good nap, a Cowboys loss and a left over turkey sandwich!

Pinetree to you and other paddlers on board, Happy Thanksgiving! Perhaps the last year did not provide all the paddling opportunities we would have liked, despite this we all have a tremendous amount of which to be thankful for in this country.

Thanks Pinetree, Happy Thanksgiving to you as well! Maybe it's just me but with everything else going on in the world I'm looking forward to seeing my friends and family more than ever this year.

Speaking of giving thanks, I play a game called the Gratitude Game, which can be played in the current moment, like listing your five favorite elements of your town or home, or in past moments, like your favorite vacations or fishing moments. The key is explaining your list, i.e. articulating why something is a favorite, for that substantiates your list, giving it substance.
Life is invariably hard. Sooner or later, everyone you love will die, some in pain, so it's important to give thanks for what we do have and have had while we still can.

Thanks giving!

Thanks Pinetree and all. 2021 was the pits so it will be a good time for reflection on the things that still remain and to look forward to better times ahead. This community is always one of the blessings. I hope you all are surrounded by love this week, and stay safe and healthy.

Yes, there are many things to be thankful for. We got a trip in to the BW. Our daughter was married this summer, we like her husband. Our son and his girlfriend made it through fire season with no injuries.
But it will still be a rough holiday season. My mom passed in March. My husbands mom is in hospice now. Thankful for the time we have had with them.
Both our kids will be home at the same time for Christmas, a little chaos that is something to look forward to. And no one can spend too much time looking at maps of the BW!

Pinetree: "It has been a tough year for many on this board.
Many times I have seen people here rally behind someone on this board with Prayers and encouragement.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving to you all and keep paddling forward, not backward.
"
So true !
Happy Thanks Giving to all.
I'm sorry I dropped the ball on my Wing Night Plans.
I'm still struggling.
Maybe after the holidays
