My dog, not on a leash, holy lake? Wolves were across the lake busting ice, I’m not sure why. Milo was very interested but stayed close thankfully as the ice was pretty marginal

Yes they do and behind the lodge because everyone feeds them. Had to wait for a group of does to get off the fairway to hit our drives from the tee.

Loon on Kekekabic, June 16 about 3:38pm, on the Little Islands just north of the Big Island with the campsite. I've been wanting to get to Isle of Pine and Kekekabic since at least 2016, and I finally made it happen, rewarded with trout meals and a pair of loons swimming right up to my canoe in 2-3 feet of water! They were so close, I did not even have to crop this picture - full frame as displayed!

Here’s my contribution to the December photo contest. It’s from about 35 years ago, with my dog-paddling friend Patches. We were paddling my first canoe, a poor young man’s 17’ Coleman Canoe. We were out on Saganaga. Patch’s pack is red, the canoe green, and so there ya go, December’s considerations… ??

?

Arctic, is this the campsite on west shore, just north of little feeder stream (which I have never seen), the one with the sandy "beach" area on south side? Stayed there on my first trip to Quetico with my soon-to-be husband. Special memories. Last time we stopped there (13-14 years ago), it was very overgrown and looked little or not used.

Yeah, I think so. I tend to find the lesser known/used sites. There is another one on the lake that I like too. Nice for two people.
