Ladybug?

There are a few good clues in that photo but when I try to enlarge it gets too distorted.

AnglerJake: "Echo Shores Resort on Little Long Lake?"

That's the one.

I was trying to discern an unnamed lake from a youtube video. After looking up that resort and the satellite imagery and comparing to the video, that's definitely the spot. At first i had thought it was on one of the long, narrow arms of Birch Lake. Spent a lot of time researching resorts on Birch and thought it might be River Point.

That would be fun. I don't have enough non-obvious photos to start that game but I'd sure like to play. It could be resorts/outfitters/cooperators!

Indeed. Then I saw their video from one year later where they couldn’t catch a walleye to save their lives in the same spots. Ain’t that just the way it goes?

When I was younger it was called Shig-Wak. I think the name changed in the 90s??

I believe it was unoccupied for a while. The new owners did a good job fixing it up.

What video is it? I'd like to watch - can't get enough of decent BWCA related videos

Sent you an email. I don't want to post the vid in this context with the lake named on a public forum.

Here is a video of me and Bayla, my dog. The video is taken from the beach at a resort you can paddle into the BWCA from. The video, at least to me, is very beautiful in its simplicity. If you read the description, it offers a clue. This will require a little deeper knowledge than the Echo Shores one. (To Bayla, still missing you everyday...every hour)

Nice video. You can see the strong bond between you and your pup, so sorry for your loss.
