This chair looks interesting. Has anyone used it in the BWCA? Maybe a little too low to the ground, but I like the legs v.s. the standard Helinox which I end up putting tennis balls on so it doesn't dig into the soil.

Helinox sells a ground sheet that is effective as a stabilizer. I have one and it really works well on soft ground, ie. sand.
I did not link their website, but you can find them there. just under $30.

Reminds me a bit of the Alite Monarch chair, which I’ve had and used and enjoyed for years. It is a balancing act but I find it plenty relaxing.

I completely agree with Kona. But if you have to balance like the Alite then a lot of people won’t like it. Which just keeps them from stealing my chair. So it may depend on how much those two front legs do.

Just watched a video on the festival chair. It appears to be more different than the Alite Monarch than I originally realized, in terms of both weight and features.

I just watched one too. The sliding front legs are interesting. Maybe that makes it into a stable chair. But I’d have to try it to be sure. Also impressed that it weighs so much compared to the Alite! Those extra legs could be made out of lead.

I found the Alite is too low to properly tend a fire. Helinox are indestructible and the only brand to buy. Just watch out for any Cedar embers snapping at you. They'll burn a hole in any chair! I have both the Helinox Chair One and the Helinox Sunset Chair. I take only the Sunset Chair out now as the added height and higher back are welcome and needed after long days paddling and portaging. It's worth the minimal extra weight and still light. Go with the Helinox Sunset Chair and you will not be disappointed!

Once, in an REI, I made a spectacular spectacle of myself sitting in one of those Monarch chairs. It was balanced in front of of a display case that was on wheels. I didn't realize it only had two touch points, sat down...flew backwards...nalgene bottles and gear crashed all around me. I'm hoping someone was watching on the surveillance cameras, it would have really made their day. I was crying I was laughing so hard.
