Well, I didn't make it out ice skating on the wild ice last year, but I did get out for a first ice winter camping trip to Wind Lake over here on the Ely side of the BWCA. We enjoyed a few days of tough fishing, cold temps and a hot tent in early December; conditions could not have been more enjoyable.

Pulling a sled was a dream with very little snow and the gorgeous landscape did not disappoint...
