Kind of a funny question, but is there anyone in the cities that is looking to get rid of some nalgenes that were made before the BPA scare? I have a friend that's kind of a nalgene connoisseur and I think it'd be a fun birthday present for him. Don't worry, it's likely that he'd just put them on his nalgene shelf, possibly even put stickers on them, no drinking involved.

I am still using my nalgene bottle bought at REI in the late 70's. Should I start planning my demise?

I still am using some older Nalgenes also, just don’t put hot water in them. Your friend should be checking Goodwill stores and resale shops since turn up regularly.
