Friend sent me a package USPS priority mail from Minneapolis to Duluth. It went to Phoenix and sat there for three weeks. Then it went back to Minneapolis and then to Duluth.
My BWJ might be there now too. Who knows.
Anyone have some whacky USPS stories?

Crazy! I hope your package enjoyed it's vacation in warmer climate. Must be the new USPS "Snowbird special."

I’ll have to look for my issue. I may also have forgotten to renew.
We’ve been pretty lucky with the USPS this year. We probably shipped 40 packages and, including 7 internationally, only one had a problem. I need to check if it got thorough.
My problem was an order coming by UPS. The tracking said it was in my area and would be delivered the next day. I live near San Francisco. A couple of days later it was scanned in Baltimore. And then the trail went dead. Fortunately for me, the manufacturer sent me a new unit.

Haven’t received mine yet but I was in a book store in Terre Haute and found one there. Thought it was odd it was there before I got mine. I was surprised to open it to the content page and see it contained an article I had written.

My opinion and speed of USPS is at least a 9. Very reliable-fast and much cheaper than UPS on packages.

I am glad your experience is better than mine. FedEx often farms out the final delivery to the USPS and it always adds at least a week to delivery…IF I actually get the package. It’s bad enough I switch any FedEx delivery to me picking it up at a facility instead and that is really inconvenient.

Typically the BWJ is a gradual release. The first issues were probably sent out around 12/21. I am not sure when they totally finish sending issues out but I seem to remember up to a month after the first issues went out.
With COVID cases higher causing unprecedented numbers of people to call in sick it has made the USPS slower than even usual. I don’t think it is weird people haven’t gotten theirs yet. I wouldn’t worry until February IMHO.
Easy for me to say I got mine 2 weeks ago :) But I have also been on the last to be sent out and it has taken close to a month later compared to others.

I emailed them this morning, but have not received a reply as yet.

Still a no here as well. My sister tells me that her mail delivery is down to 3 times per week. But this is Indiana where everything sucks and because we live in Indiana the suck factor is multiplied by 11x.

We (in western NC) got our Winter 2021 BWJ in today's mail. Wow, the cover shot and first few photos make me cold! We've used the 'gnarly slog' technique in a few Quetico streams--try it!
