This photo is in the BW facing SWish. It's from a little solo trip last september with a crazy amount of wildlife. Two beavers came into my campsite and let me sit inside of 10 ft and shoot pictures for close to an hour. I also had two separate otter accounters, three hawks, and Kingfisher that was following me around for awhile. This photo is from the campsite I stayed at.

No one is particularly close yet. Zenith is probably the closest. Here's another photo from the portage (facing west).

Nailed it, you're up next.

I headed into Pipe for a fairly relaxed solo weekend because I knew I would never hit it on a travel trip (dead-end lake) and it had always intrigued me. I also explored for the old portages out the west end. I found it fascinating how well preserved the portage to west pipe was. Most of the lake was hit hard by blowdown and the area just north of the portage burnt in a small fire, but the portage itself was still open and clear. It felt like the wildlife have been keeping it open. Never did find a portage into Tobacco from Pipe (though my old map had one marked), but the beavers have been working overtime in the area that portage used to be.
