This has been in the family for a few decades and "ran when parked" but it's been at least 20 years. I know enough to be dangerous and am hoping to get it back on the water this summer.

17' Chris Craft custom ski boat w/ GM 283 v8 in it.

That should be a fun project!

Gunflint Lodge acquired a beatiful chris craft summer before last, guests can book it for dinner cruises and whatnot. It looks glorious tied up to dock.

I'm not sure why the picture is flipped 180 but...you get the idea.

It's a similar one to this...2 rows of seats and ski pole. Same pinstriping on deck and stern

Very cool! They did make some big cabin cruisers and such. The one we have is on the smaller end for what they made. (but still seats 4-5)

I like anything old, but Chris Craft is out of my league

Whoa! Your boat is beautiful.*

*I watched the video, which I understand isn't your exact boat, but nearly identical.

Have you seen this boat from the 2022 roll call thread? I think it's a beauty! Michganman and his boat

Sweet! I actually kind of like the old boat/newer motor combos. I like to wrench on old motors but....as for relying on one for a whole week trip or something isn't in my ideal setup.

We have an old Thompson like this but replaced the old cable steer and outboard w/ a new 4 stroke Yamaha w/ hyd steering. Old boat with a super quiet and reliable motor :)
