Thanks for sharing, sounds like a great trip. I really love the stretch of Ima, Thomas and Fraser, such a beautiful area.

I enjoyed your trip report, thanks for sharing it. You take way better photos than I do.

Thanks WM - probably just the camera - I just use the automatic settings & pray it turns out - and take lots of pictures! Digital makes it easy to be lazy.

Thank you. We went through Knife and Kekekabic last summer (trip report coming when I get time) and spent our last two days on Fraser. I really enjoyed both Kekekabic & Fraser, but good times on Thomas and the Hatchet creek through Ima was also fun. It is hard to have a favorite place in the BWCA, as all the lakes are nice!

Really enjoyed this write up! I have been going in September lately and don't miss those hot humid days trying to sleep in a tent. Looking back on my Thomas and Fraser trip this last fall, I should have day tripped into Sagus like you did. I had 4 nights on Fraser so that was a mistake. Thanks for the pics of all the campsites too!

Great report. I am in love with your picture of the merganser family. They are quickly becoming one of my favorite birds and they are definitely my favorite baby birds to watch. I am just getting to know that part of the BWCA, so it was great to read your experiences. I did travel through Thomas and Fraser this past summer and I love that narrows. Thanks for taking the time to do the report.

Good read, thanks! Your flower with the beautiful moth photo is orange hawkweed.

Thank you - I appreciate the identifications of flowers and insects - seems like everyone on this site is so knowledgeable about all these things!
