Has anyone looked into a spot where we can all get together on Saturday night for a BWCA.com gathering, food and libation? We're only a month away.

If anyone has any ideas of places even semi-close to the Alliant Energy Center that could host somewhere between 50-75 people with food and drink, I'm all ears.

We plan to be there and would be interested in meeting for dinner if a place can be found. Less crowded the better, in our opinion. Not familiar with what is available so have no real ideas, but we aren't fussy about the food--just would like to see other BWCA.com people. It seems like Old Scout's idea has merit if it is doable.

Did Angelo's McFarland not work? "
Bill, I don't know about the Malt House, but I will look into Angelo's in McFarland. They have pretty much the same menu as the place in Monona, but I'll have to see if they have a meeting room, and, if so, the number of people they can accommodate.
Thanks to Nola, we have a few other places to check out.
Everyone plan on getting together for dinner on Saturday night. We just don't know where yet.

I thought Angelos Monona closed??
My first Canoecopia - 16 or 18 years ago - pretty sure BWCA met somewhere east of downtown - thought it was Malt house by location and photos. Mostly recall meeting Jan and Paul there.
For quite a few years I hosted a get together at another industry conference in different cities and several times found a place by Google street view.

Yes, Angelos in Monona did close, so I checked with their location in McFarland. They're not large enough to handle a group of our size.
We have other options. I'll keep you all posted.

Hi John,
Please reply to this thread as Jackfish is tracking RSVPs there, and it has the location listed as well.
