I’ve always believed in quality gear. It works better and lasts longer. Go with a Warbonnet hammock and tarp and use it for 20 years.

+1 If you don't like it you can sell it here for a little less than what you paid for it.

I have a One Wind hammock, and like it. Seems to be good quality for the price. Although it’s my first and I don’t really have anything to compare with… One Wind

Consider looking at the higher quality hammocks but buy used.
Hammock Forums has a "For Sale" subforum...

Warbonnet has blem items under the sale portion of their site. And as mentioned hammockforums forsale items will probably be best deal on quality used equipment. I don't find the hammock to be the biggest cost, usually it's the under quilt.

Simply light designs, dutchware gear, dream hammock, some of these vendors have starter packages.

Not sure where you reside PP, but buying locally here in MN at Superior Gear has fantastic, highly recommended hammock setups/ gear.
