Hey All - I'm still looking for a used, beat up if necessary paddle for my son and I to take as our backup for our run at the Border Route Challenge. Anyone have something laying around they would part with?

22oz bending branches is 100.00,

Last summer Wenonah had carbon paddles on clearance for 75.00, they were 18-21oz. Not sure when you need it but maybe keep and eye out there, not much weight savings over wood though.
10 oz paddles can be had from grbnewman for 195.00 plus shipping.

Yes - I have already spent $400 on two GRB's for this trip, was hoping to find something on the cheap side just for the spare. Not sure if I'll find it or not - but I JUUUUST missed one on here a few weeks ago.

Check with Piragis up in Ely, MN. Have seen used ones there in the past, and they were reasonably priced imo.

I called - they only have BB Special (Outfitters Edition) left...which I may need to go with. He figured around 26 ounces.
