Hey All,

My brother ties flies for me and I can hardly wait to test these out! Any predictions?

Those will be great for Bass. He did a fantastic job imitating a crayfish. I think those green bunny fur claws will move quite nicely underwater.

Thank you, Savage Voyageur...I'll pass that along to him. More to be posted soon as he's done with some color variations. He's also working on dragonflies and leeches. Can hardly wait till May!

I predict fish on the end of your line. Looks like a fun pattern. What weight line and rod do you use throwing those big flies?

I make my 6 weight fly rod work rather than buy a heavier one which is probably the more appropriate approach. With a fly rod it is definitely a chuck and duck method!

This fly also functions nicely as a jig and I use either my medium or medium-light St. Croix rods just fine. Bouncing on the bottom or cast and very slow twitchy return have both proven very effective.
