I would like to know the distance from the bottom of the cross tube to the floor?

Installing a foot brace into a Magic and currently the distance is 6 and 1/2 inch (6.5").

Sitting in the boat the distance seems acceptable but I want to double check before I proceed.

Ted supervised installation of the foot brace on my Magic in his shop. It is 5 in from the floor. I wrapped a heavy piece of black foam pipe insulation around the tube and appreciate the effect.

I installed the Wenonah Footbrace in my Bell Magic at 6 inches. I have size 13 feet and when the brace is put at this height … it works well.

Temporarily install it and do what feels right for you
