I finally got my found map case home and set up in my man cave.

I found this in the trash last year and it was too big to get in the car and bring home from Florida. Our landlord let me leave it at the rental and I took the truck to Florida this year so I could bring it back.

The map case was so large, I hated to but cut it in half. So now I have a three shelf map case.

Pics coming soon?

That was definitely worth saving! Far superior to the stack of inconsistently folded maps on my book shelf. Only downside - now you probably need more maps.

Looks great! Excellent addition!

P.S. Not sure why I couldn't see the pics on the first post.

My fault... I hit the Submit button too early instead of Add Photo. You commented while I edited and added the pics.

I don't see that as a downside

What a great find. Every time I pull a map out, I try and unroll it and have to pin it with books. Well worth the wait and the trip.

Nice find, might be an old blueprint holder.

Almost big enough... it could be for blueprints. But I found it on an island in Florida and everyone has boats. Either way, it's a map case now!

Curious as to what you did with the other half??

Beautiful! When I read the thread title, I thought you meant a map case to stash maps while paddling, and I wondered how/why that would be a topic. Glad I opened it to read; very nice!

Unfortunately, it hit the trash pile and was picked up the next day and disposed.
