Which lake is best fishing in early June? I have heard that gun has larger walleye s but fewer. Fourtown has larger pike and more walleyes / pike. Any feedback would be helpful.

I have fished both but not in early June. Fourtown was better for us for fishing. Lots of people on both lakes. Find campsites early!

Gun is pretty clear, the water isn't like the other lakes nearby. We found a few fish on our one night there but they were a little harder to find than compared to other lakes (again that's one night)

Either way, give it a go

I would stay away from Fourtown anytime between May 15 and Sept 15 because of the crowds (personal choice) but the fishing is great. If you're willing to put in the extra miles, there are a few good fishing lakes just off Gun Lake that get almost zero pressure (Fairy, Gull, Moosecamp, Thunder, Beartrap). They don't all have walleye, but they are all good fishing lakes.
