Looking at the plastics sold on Boundary Waters Journal (Klos bros lure).

What style of weight is this? I've never seen it before?

I think these are custom, but I've seen other brands refer to them as "headbanger" jig heads. They are designed to move more naturally when jigged on bottom. It is meant to resemble either a bottom-feeding or a wounded baitfish. Never used them but I am sure they would be super effective for lake trout when they are bottom-feeding.

I ended up ordering a set so I guess I will see how they work. Definitely an interesting weight.
