We got up real early one morning, grabbed our cameras and the fixings for coffee and paddled across the lake. Climbed up a high bluff for a sunrise view as we sipped our fresh brew.

Now for the real clue:

Looking north of whatever direction the sun rises in :)

This is the approach to the beginning of the southern portage into this lake. If you have seen it you will likely remember it as it is very unique. This is at the beginning of the portage, remember we want the lake on the other side.

I have not made it to Boot yet. Mudro permits are not easy to come by. Boot was a guess, I wanted to guess Jack but two others beat me to it.

That is one really cool portage landing for sure. Got to experience it last year. I wanted to kick back and have a snack after coming from Boot! Not that it was tough - just a nice place to relax and drink in canoe country.
