Meet Pretzel. Pretzel is a male Bernedoodle. A Bernedoodle is a cross between a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Poodle. We pick him up in a week - can't wait! The breeder is located in Duluth and still has pups available from this litter, if anyone is interested. www.pinewoodpaws.com

You are definitely going to win some cute puppy competitions! I had never heard of that breed but after a quick google search to learn the basics it seems like a great canoe country companion. Congrats on the new pup!

Lol - we'll see how it goes. We previously had a std poodle that came in at 57 lbs. This pups dad is 75 lbs and mom is 55 lbs. He'll be a little bigger than our previous pup. Canoe training, along with obedience training will start early. There's a great training facility in Duluth, Formerly Arrowhead Dog Training, now known as Dog Dynasty - had a thorough puppy foundation class and then adult obedience. We took our previous pup through their training and were more than happy with it.

I'm not too worried about him in our Tandem (Bell Northwoods), but we'll see how he fits in the Magic.

Speckled, you picked a good dog breed, we have a Berniedoodle, Lilly, she turned 1 in March, she’s a hoot, happy go lucky dog, very intelligent dogs.

Even the Magic should be fine if training goes well. Echo my 90 Lab does very well in a Northwind Solo. Yogi our 120 lb Newfoundland is another story. He’s way to wacko to ride in any size canoe.

Congratulations on the new family member.

Great picture of your lab and the surrounding area even with the burn area. Whereabouts was that?
