Apologies for the tardiness of this post...(lurking time yesterday caught up with me last night when work had to be done). Also apologies for the quality of my pictures. I have been to this "location" many times but mostly at night so my pictures are few and of low quality. I will endeavor to provide clues because I only have 2 pictures before I will have to bogart from other's photo's posted on BWCA.com

Clues #1, 2, 3 and 4

BWCA
Correct answer is a "location"
4 possible answers (geographers may argue there are only 3 answers). I am looking for the Best answer - not the possible answers to this location.

Clues #5,6,7 and 8

This is one of at least 3 campsites in this well known East side location prominently marked on my Fisher map

Looks like Vista to me, southern most campsite.

That's what I was thinking, but almost looks like some burn in the distance, and I don't think Vista burned did it?

The smart money is on Z4K's answer, Devils Elbow, Camp Site #1947. ;-)

Z4K for the win!

Sorry for the crappy pix, but that's what I had available on my phone. Glad the clues were helpful. I hear this is Small Mouth Mecca. Someday I will put a line in the water instead of just passing through.

Possible answers were Maraboeuf Lake, Granite River or Gneiss Lake but Devils Elbow was the best of the options. I don't know where Maraboef ends and Gneiss begins but will leave that to the geographers. One of our members has a couple of nice pictures on the map page...worth checking out.

Yes the clues were very helpful, I've never been on the granite river at all but I had the fisher maps and some time! I wouldn't have tried if it wasn't a burn area... those tree trunks were the most helpful clue of all.

I'm copying your style for #62, sorry for the one-day delay folks
