I had the day off work and it was gorgeous so I drove out the Fernberg to put together an ice report video!

I stopped in at Lake One, Snowbank, Moose and Fall. Local lakes have anywhere from 22-24" of ice remaining

A few new items to add to your BWCA summer gear list - auger, tip-ups, ice chisel, ice skimmer, and snow shoes.

I was surprised to see that lake one had pulled away from the shore - that's promising. I drove up to the cabin today, our lake...which is 45 minutes south of Ely, looked like Moose - completely covered and no visable signs of melt.

4/27/22 Shagawa still had 22 inches.
