This is not 1936. The ice will be gone from EVERY lake in the BWCA by the end of the month and most by the fishing opener on May 14. I’m even starting to think that Seagull will open up before my prediction of May 18."

I'm just jealous that I can't be up there to enjoy it. I went in 2019 on opening weekend and had to change my EP at the last minute because I couldn't use my original one because of ice. I'm just glad there was another nearby permit available at the last minute since I flew up from TX."

I know what you mean. I actually moved from Duluth (Lester Park area) to Dallas many years ago, it was a job transfer. I didn't plan on staying this long but..."
