Editing my post on tow's as I'm finding it may be challenging to get to Bottle Portage this May/June. If not, we will do that again as we 100% basecamp and fish most all days.

If not, any other recommendations on end point tow service lakes for basecamp and walleye fishing with minimal portaging? I know, I know... not looking to debate the tow/portage/fishing/solitude discussion of the bwca. Members of our groups have limitations, we pack heavy, and this is where we are with our trip planning.

Any destination thoughts and services recommended to get there appreciated.

If the tow to Bottle isn't doable this year you may want to consider a tow to Snow Bay (western end of LLC). I did that in Aug 2020. Base camped on Fortyone Island. LLC fishing was good...day tripped into Takucmich, Gun, etc as well as paddling over to Lady Boot.

You could do a tow on saganaga to red rock. One 5-10 rod portage.

Or moose to ensign.

What outfitter did you use? Where did you load and depart from??

Red Rock and Alpine look promising for walleye in late May...???

It's an easy trip if you get a tow on Moose Lake up to Ensign via Splash Lake. You have 2 extremely short and extremely easy portages. Ensign has lots of campsites and offers great walleye fishing. Despite being easy to get to and very popular it is still one of my favorite lakes to fish.

I agree w/ either the Snow Bay tow ($$$) or the Ensign and/or Red Rock options.

I've done the tow to Red Rock as I had little kids and wanted to avoid big water. The fishing on Red Rock was surprisingly decent, especially near the one or two small islands about halfway down the lake. You can also day trip back to Red Rock Bay on the real short portage, (I remember it being about 25 steps), to get to bigger water, or take about a 45 (?) rod portage to Alpine, which also has decent fishing.
