I'm going to fit in a 4 day hike of the North Country Trail before a spring canoe trip. I'm mostly packed and leave on Wednesday. My wife will drop me off in Munising and pick me up on Saturday in Grand Marais. Weather looks good and I just need to buy the menu items. Seems like the pack will be light enough for a 65-year old. I hope to recreate some of the scenes from 5 years ago when the Spring Beauty was fragrant.

What a wonderful hike. This early there should not be crowds. My last hike on this section was 1979. There were few people backpacking there back then. I hear it i pretty busy these days. Post a trip report!
