Hey everyone,
Heading in Tuesday after Memorial Day. The subject line is the destination. My main question is with water levels being so high, is it possible to travel downstream in the the river that connects Buck to Pine? I've had mixed answers on the Facebook page but the years vary alot from when people have done them. Any recent reports would be great ?? Thank you everyone and be safe out there

I’m not sure I have any better advice, but my guess is water levels make a huge difference. I read a report some years ago of a group going through and had quite an adventure. I’d say, if you’re whole group is up for anything, then go for it. Otherwise stay safe and take the other way around.

I went down that stream 20 years ago. It was doable. Normal water level when I did it. Very narrow and brushy, with lots of getting out and dragging the canoe. It was a fun adventure. With the high water, I suspect it would be much easier this early season…

Myself and OP took this route 2 weeks ago now.
It was pretty easy money with the high water. Two portages to get around debris blocking the creek, lined the canoes one time, and had the most beautiful relaxing paddle down Buck Creek into Pine Lake.
We weren't the first people to even do it this spring, as we saw evidence of others.
