Thought I would share this cool fish. Up on LLC over opener weekend, caught many walleyes including this one. The picture doesn't do the blue justice. Tail very blue and some blue tints across it's back and dorsal fins. It looked like a tropical fish coming in. I shared the pic with a CO buddy and he said I caught a fabled blue walleye. Ever see anything like this before?

Cool fish! They are more common further north in Canada. I caught several with varying degrees of blue last summer in Wabakimi. I did not realize there were any down in the BW though.

Sweet! I picked up a blue on the Cass Lake chain a few years back, definitely makes you double take. Nice work!

We caught a few blue walleye on Lynx several years back. What lake were you on Bdubguy?

Interesting! Who knew it is sunscreen! We were on Lac La Croix. Was using jigs and salted minnows for the first time. Worked great! I will be bringing them moving forward for sure.

We've caught them on Crooked; primarily over between wed/th bays, near site 1857 (the island site). Had a couple decent sized ones, too.

We caught a couple on Russell & Sturgeon last week. They are neat!

Nice! More common than I would have thought. According to Wiki, they have been extinct since 1983. Doesn't look like it...
