Hey all... hopefully this is not out of line. My house flooded from a burst pipe back in September and a lot of my belongings were soaked and ruined. One of those was my blue barrel and harness. The water mitigation company moved everything out of the house but some stuff got thrown away even though it shouldn't have been. The barrel and harness were one of those things.

My friend has a spare barrel, but not a spare harness. I have one on the way from MEC, but it won't be here before I leave on Friday unfortunately. I'd love to avoid buying another one and having to sell it... so if you have one I could pick up in the Twin Cities (if I break it I buy it!) before Friday afternoon, please let me know. I'd throw you some money for the trouble and would replace it if anything happened to it.

When are you returning? Im headed up June 13 for a trip so i would need it back by then, so assuming that works i think i could help you out if still needed..

I have a Harmony harness that I use on my 30 liter barrel. I do not recall if it works for both 30 and 60 or not, but I'm happy to lend it to you if it would help. I have to say, I do not think the Harmony ones are the most comfortable, but it does get the job done.

I think that won't work unfortunately. We get back the night of the 12th but if I were you I'd want a day or two at least to make sure I got it back in time, and if we are weather bound or anything then you wouldn't have it. I really appreciate the offer though.

Thanks Jaywalker, will do - our barrels are 10gal (so more like 37.4L) so I'm unsure if yours will fit, but I can give it a try!

I got it sorted. Midwest Mountaineering had 20% off canoe packs and some accessories today since it was the BWCA pint night, so I snagged a Granite Gear harness for a reasonable price. Big thanks to Jaywalker for meeting up with me to let me try his harness (just slightly too small for the tall 10gal I have).

Crisis averted... for now!
