Hoping for some help from some of our more electrically-minded members. For years I've been bringing in a 10 AA battery holder that I've been using to power my fish finder. It's always worked flawlessly.
Upon arriving at camp last friday I hooked up my battery pack and connected it to my fish finder and it would not power on. Upon closer inspection I noted that the outside of the plastic battery holder was starting to melt slightly at the terminal locations.
Does anyone have any ideas what may have happened and if I am doing something wrong? It wasn't a fancy holder, like I said, made from plastic, so maybe that's the issue.
