just sharing an observation from years ago while in the bwca in an area recently opened after being closed due to fires in the vicinity we encountered several canoes of firefighters and equipment being staged and on the move. I thought it was clever/fun seeing a loaded canoe being propelled using a gas powered water pump

I have seen the FS jet canoes also. I couldn't keep up with them. Link to past thread on this.
