Kickstarter has so one strange opportunities. This one for a heated pad seems dubious.
hot water camping mattress

I wonder if the sound of water circulating might cause me to get up in the night for some other running water event.

With a leak, you could have a hazardous spill of that di-hydrogen stuff!!

I’m generally trying to keep that dihydrogen stuff out of my tent rather than having tubes flowing it in or out.

Pretty ingenious system. I’m sure it’s lovely if it works. We used to have a water bed and the warmth was nice. But way too heavy and involved for me, even if car camping.

I wonder if they ever considered a couple of hot water bottles.

Does it make coffee?

Oh dear! What a concept! Yes, the di-hydrogen monoxide spill could be hazardous...it all depends: do you use an innie or an outie with this product?!?

Great idea but probably over-designed. As a long time shoulder season camper, I just rely on merino wool under garments while sleeping in my warm down bag. I have friends who like to sleep with several Nalgene bottles filled with hot water.

Maybe an innie on top of the mattress.

As for coffee, maybe that could circulate through the mattress with sippy tubes by your head for the morning.
