Selling our 2020 Wenonah Spirit II Outfitter Edition canoe in the Ultra-light w/Aramid layup. Located in Minneapolis.
It’s a 17ft long kevlar tandem canoe and weighs 42lbs. We purchased it from Piragis’ rental fleet at the end of last season when the BWCA was closed for several weeks, so in-theory, it was saved a few weeks of wear. We were the first to pay in full, so we got the first choice canoe from the group. It’s in great shape. We’ve taken it on four trips since buying it. There are scratches on the underside, but none that go through the first layer of kevlar. Two small patches from the folks at Piragis. I swapped out the stern bucket seat for web seat, but will include both, and it’s an easy to change between the two with four bolts. Features factory installed skid plates at the bow and stern. It comes with a set of Superior portage pads installed, two Piragis bucket seats with backs, one Wenonah bucket seat pad without back, and it has a bungee tie added to the bow end cap for a bow line.
From Wenonah’s site: “As efficient as a long-hulled canoe and as maneuverable as a short one, the Spirit II strikes a balance between all good things. Roomy enough for Boundary Waters trips, stable enough for fishing. Perfect for lake travel but at home on moving water. Seaworthy and predictable in wind and waves. The Spirit does it all.” The Spirit II is Wenonah’s most popular tandem canoe and easily one of their most versatile in the extensive lineup.
Asking $2500. The same used outfitting canoe from Piragis, without the extras, this year cost $2650 and won’t be available till mid October. The canoe new costs $4049.
