Great video, always good to see lots of smiles! My son and I "shared" that south end of Polly with you on Thursday and Friday night, and I could see our food bag hanging in a couple of your NE facing photos. Fun to see the same things we experienced through your camera lens- especially the wind on Friday morning/afternoon along with the cloud formations. And we didn't have the proper angle to see that rainbow, but we knew it had to be out there somewhere!

Hi neighbor, small world! A group we talked to as we were portaging out on Saturday said they heard the entire lake was full Friday night.
The thunderstorms were just close enough to make it interesting, but not terribly threatening. The rainbow was cool, although it was faint and brief... it seems like they always happen while we are preparing supper :-)

Another great slide show.

I like that you include the map showing your route and where your camps were. Do you overlay a gps track onto the map or draw it in somehow?

The history of seeing the older trips on your channel is great too. For example, I noticed at some point it looks like you/your group changed over from Royalex to Kevlar canoes.

I capture a map from this site or another and pull it into Powerpoint. Then I use the freehand drawing tool and draw it manually. I also create text boxes as needed in Powerpoint.

Yes, our canoes have definitely evolved. You won't see any slide shows with aluminum canoes but we used them starting in 1978 for quite a few years.
Then one of my buddies got a royalex Old Town Acadia. Around that time, I switched to an Old Town Canadienne... it was kevlar but a heavier version with a gel coat finish. Now the Bell Northwind kevlar at about 46 lbs with the wood trim.
