I would love to meet you all but, it's over a 1200 mile round trip for me. I'll be there in spirit. I know it will be a great time as are all wingnights. Would love to see ya Tony, Ken and Sam. We will meet for a fish fry at a later date. 600 miles round trip is my limit.

I am hopefully planning on camping both nights. Heading to Europe the week before so will be a quick packing and probably bring something easy like a dessert to the potluck. Looking forward to seeing some of you that I have not seen in awhile!

Tony: "Grandma L: "What time is the pot luck on Saturday?"
The potluck will be about 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Tony"
We will be late then. Usually, the potluck was at 5. I'll still bring food, I'm sure people will be hungry again.

For anyone camping tonight, or arriving early tomorrow… I plan on walking the hiking trail nearby the group camp, full dork style with my hiking pack (fully loaded) for a BRT training hike if anyone is interesting in joining me.
Maybe shooting around 11 a.m.?

Hope everyone is having a great time. I really wanted to come and meet so many of you, unfortunately the timing fell right when I traditionally do my out west camping trip. Have fun and don't let Ben do all the talking ;-)
May the rivers be crooked and winding, and your portages lonesome, leading to the most amazing view.

Zulu... thanks for all the great pics. I recognize a lot of the people, but could you list the people in the pics, please?

straighthairedcurly: "We had a great time! Wonderful to meet people in real life!"
Amen!
Really nice to get reacquainted with many members that I've met already but, haven't seen in person for a number of years and, equally gratifying to meet several I hadn't yet met. Its always so interesting, and entertaining, to hear the stories and get to better know the 'real' :) person. Time goes by far too quickly at these.... however, my heart is flooded with many warm memories, and emblazoned in my mind is an image of each person that was there glowing with a huge smile on their face. Always so truly enjoyable when being in the company of people who are sharing a passion.
Thank you to everyone who helped set this up and all who attended.

It was fun to see these photos, but it always makes me a bit sad that we live so far away and can never be at one of these wing night gatherings. Glad that you all had such a good time. Perhaps will see a few of you again sometime at Canoecopia.

That really looks like a great spot for a group camping weekend! Hope to make it one of these years.

Thanks to everyone who brought their leather goods handcrafted by Mitch “Dicecupmaker” Anderson. I very much appreciated that & enjoy seeing the variety of things he made, and there were some very unique items brought including straps to haul toboggans. I enjoyed seeing everything! He left an artistic & useful legacy of leather. Feel free to send me pictures of your items any time, I’d love to see them!
Peace

Zulu: "Thank you Carolyn for helping us get to know more about Mitch through stories and the photo album.
He is missed here on the forum and at the many Wingnights throughout the years."
You’re welcome. Glad you enjoyed the album! Yes, I’d guess he was a lively & entertaining presence at many a Wingnight and it was a privilege to meet the people I believe he most related to and identified with as a group during our 6 years together. You were really his people. He was in his element here.
Also, I enjoyed hearing the many stories from you and others around the campfire on Saturday. A friendlier and more interesting group of people I’ve never met.
