The second and fifth smallmouth are heavy fish! Well done, Mike.

Looks like one on a plopper, and one on a Zulu. What did the others come on?

All of the biggest fish came on either a Zulu or Plopper. The first two days I didn’t catch a smallmouth over 15 inches. I tried every topwater in the box. I had some WPs back at camp in my large topwater box so on day 3 I threw one in my main tackle box. Quickly found out that’s what they wanted. I’m not much of a WP guy, but if that’s what they want, then that’s what I am going to throw.

Wow! Those are some real hogs! Pardon my ignorance, but what are “WPs”? Heading up there next week.

There are knockoff's out there but not as good as the real deal.

I love your Zulu Rig! I've caught more fish on it up north than anything else. Can't say thank you enough for sharing it so readily on here and in the journal.
