I can't seem to find a thread on this topic, so I guess I'll make one. I'm relatively new to this game and I bought my own packs this year after a couple years of getting them from outfitters.
I've got nylon packs, not canvas (a CCS guide and a GG superior). They got a good soaking in muddy, swampy boat water over the trip and I assume I'd be wise to give them a cleaning before I let them sit through the winter.
How do you all do this? Thanks in advance for any advice!
A pail with warm, soapy water and a scrub brush. Hose them down real well after you're done and let them hang for a few days to make sure they're dry. All good.
