We're going in Baker lake October 1st. I would assume tofte Minnesota weather would be the most accurate for this entry?

For general weather patterns it’s ok. For temperatures Tofte may not be accurate due to its proximity to Lake Superior. Some days it’s good, but others it’s up to 10 degrees different. For that area I tend to use Ely and Tofte and figure it will be somewhere in between.

Just google "nws forecast isabella mn". Then scroll down just a little bit and there will be a map on the right hand side. Find the lake you're looking for on that map(click and drag) and click on it and the NWS will automatically pull the forecast info from that point.

Another thing I like to do is scroll down to "hourly weather forecast" once you have clicked on your desired location and use that to get a more granular forecast. I usually screenshot all 6 days available in the hourly forecast right before I go into the bwca. It breaks down temps, wind, rain, clouds, and thunderstorm forecasts on an hourly basis.

Tofte is near Lake Superior and often within the marine layer of Lake superior - the forecast can be much different there - like off by 20 degrees and 20mph in wind.

I usually go with Isabella, Mn for the forecast around that area. Far enough off the lake to be pretty accurate.
