For anyone who’s been mulling these over, you can now get LED bulbs for these great old Maglites.

The LED bulbs are brighter than the original incandescent bulbs and will give you much more ‘mileage’ for the D cells in these great flashlights.

And that 4D is great for self defense in a car jacking ,they make dash mounts. Didn't know I could get leds Thanks !

Good call on the big 4D flashlight doubling as an effective self defense weapon. I have one of these is each of my vehicles right beside the driver seat for exactly that purpose. One will never be questioned about having a flashlight within arms reach; this can't be said about many other self defense options.

Using them as an actual flashlight is a bonus!
