Anyone remember the name of the owners of CBO in the late 90's and early 2000's?

Not sure. I know Bob Cary opened Canadian Border Outfitters in 1965ish? But sold in the mid 70s.

Pat and Chickie ran a top notch operation during their ownership days of CBO. I used their family run business on Moose Lake for many years. CBO was never the same after they sold CBO.

I believe Pat and Chickie moved to Manitoba to run a camp. I recently read a Williams and Hall post that the Harristal’s have settled down in Arizona.

Wow
I can tell the whole story
and I will, but I have been a mess since my wife died.
Give me time.
I worked for the Harristhal family for 7 years
Best outfitters up there
I was head food packer
There were mornings we had 50 packs lined up.
100 canoes coming off the water in one day.
I did everything there, including guiding
Best Outfitter period !

Stumpy,

So sorry to hear about your wife's passing. Prayers sent.

When you feel up to it, I would love to hear about the Harristhals and CBO.

I found quite a few old pictures of you and CBO from your guiding days in your BWCA.com photo album.

Stumpy, I also look forward to hearing your stories. Of course, you hurt so much because you loved her so much.

I don't mean to be a baby about it. It's been over a year, but I've been lost without her.

Geez Stumpy- give yourself some slack. I'd be the same way. You're among friends here. Ain't nobody judging you!

Hi Stumpy, I don’t think there’s a schedule for coping. I’ll just be hoping you find a way forward with your memories and feeling her love.
