Thanks for sharing nolahlm! I am starting to think about doing my first winter camping trip sometime within the next year or two...hopefully so thanks for the encouragement and the photos!

It was pretty cold (not sure about temperature) at night. We had 2 sleeping bags each, both of the ones i used were rated to 20 I think, and i wore long underwear, fleece pants, and a fleece jacket to sleep and was warm enough

Good report!
You've given me an itch to maybe try this sometime. The older I get the less interested I seem to be in winter camping and cold, but then I see your report and am intrigued.
Your tent is the same as mine and I have to ask just what it is like inside when you wake up in the frosty morning? I assume you have no stove or heater like a wall tent so I'm curious how quickly you want to roll out of bed? Thanks for posting.

bapabear, I really didn't want to get out of the sleeping bags because i was so comfortable! It was great in the sleeping bags and if you have a mummy bag you can "mummy up" for minimal exposed body and this helps it be even warmer. it was probably pretty cold in the tent as my dirty socks were totally frozen solid, but i remained comfy. Once you get out, moving is a must as if you don't it gets a bit chilly (depending on the day)
Here is the frost on the inside of the tent, but it was still quite warm

WOW! I have always wanted to go winter camping in the BDub. I just never know where would be a good spot to enter. Your trip looked like it was enjoyable especially the part about the stars!
