The BWCA permits were live recently, right? If I get a tow to Prairie Portage, no BWCA permit is required, right? Just a Quetico permit. I'm sortof saying and sortof asking.

In a round-about kindof way, without making eye contact.

If you get a tow the outfitter takes care of it. Yes you technically need a day permit to travel through the BWCAW to get to Quetico…I am not sure how it exactly works but the permit the outfitter has to operate the tow covers you.

During the tow its not a problem. If you return via paddle grab a self-issue permit for your return day- entry point is "from Canada".

That's what I was thinking. I used Williams & Hall last time and they did magic and suddenly the tow was happening. We plan on doing the same again.

Ah, good input. I've not thought of that but it is good to know in case we want to paddle back.
