If you get a tow the outfitter takes care of it. Yes you technically need a day permit to travel through the BWCAW to get to Quetico…I am not sure how it exactly works but the permit the outfitter has to operate the tow covers you.

That's what I was thinking. I used Williams & Hall last time and they did magic and suddenly the tow was happening. We plan on doing the same again.

Ah, good input. I've not thought of that but it is good to know in case we want to paddle back.
