Hello everyone,
I've been trying to get in touch with Zup's Resort/Canoe Outfitters for the past five weeks or so with no success. I made a 2023 reservation for late October 2023 and had a few follow-up questions that I put in an email and received no response to my email.

Since then, I've sent a follow-up email, called them on the numbers listed on their website (I left messages) and reached out to them via Facebook Messenger with absolutely no response. I've checked their website and Facebook pages and they do not indicate that they are on vacation or unavailable. I've been using them as a tow service/partial outfitter for the past 22 years and have found them to be a great outfitter and tow service and great people. This is the first issue that I've had.

I wanted to ask if anyone else has recently had a similar issue with reaching them or knows of any issues that would prevent them from responding.

I think that is weird, but I’d be surprised if there will be an issue. They’ve been in business a long time. Even if they were selling the new owner would take over the booked appts.

I called and sent an e-mail to another outfitter a week ago and have yet to hear back. I'm guessing they don't have nearly the staff they do in the Spring but I was surprised to get no response. Hopefully they get back to you soon, I know it can be stressful when there is no communication.

Many outfitters take a month or two off in the winter to make up for the 7 days a week they work April through October.

Agreed. I've been a customer of theirs for 20+ years I've just never had them not reply for so long.

I have Kathy Zup's Cell number. I texted her that a member of our bwca.com group was trying to contact Zups. Kathy sent me back a text this morning saying " Appreciate the message ... do you have any contact info for him that I could use? Thanks for your help!"

I do not see a email address on your PROFILE. Send me your name to my email and I will forward it to Kathy.

Kathy Zup called me this morning. She said that they were having some computer problems and did not receive my emails, I'm not sure about the phone calls though. All my issues were straightened out and I was able to get the information I needed.
Anyway, it was good to hear from her and I'm happy that Kathy and the rest of the Zupanich family are all well. She was able to deduce who I was based on the information that you gave her (Guy named Joe, Trip in September). I very much appreciate your help.

Kathy and Mark, the owners of Zup’s are top notch folks. I have been using their operation for many years.

Going into Quetico via Beaverhouse in late June. I will probably use Zup’s in 2024.

I'm having this same issue. I need to book a tow with them but cannot get any response. Once you book an entry, you really want to get your tow service lined up and coordinated, which is difficult if you cannot contact them during the booking season. I got the last permit, so would hate to have issues with the tow. Anyone have any advice? Otherwise, I guess I'll switch over to Andersons's.

I have had so many BWCA.com folks help me over the years with trip planning, equipment recommendations and fishing tips. The least I can do is help others in need.

By the way T… you have given me many fishing tips that have helped me become a better canoe country fisherman.
